Entry visa to Algeria
Very important note: The Embassy does not accept visa application documents received through any form of post mail. These documents must be submitted by THE APPLICANT HIMSELF to the visa Office at the Embassy of Algeria in Beijing, without any intermediaries.

1. All applicants residing in the People’s Republic of China who wish to travel to Algeria may need a visa issued by the Visa section of the Embassy of Algeria in Beijing.
- IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS:
- Visa applications are accepted from Monday to Wednesday, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
- The visa can be withdrawn from Monday to Friday (from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM).
- The application for the visa must be deposited by the applicant himself.
- The Embassy issues single entry visa, two entry visa and multiple entry visa.
- The period of stay can be 30, 60 or 90 days.
- Applicants must specify in their requests the visa type.
- Holders of diplomatic and service passports are exempted from visa.
- The Visa section will evaluate the documents submitted and may request additional ones at its discretion.
- Furthermore, submitting the required documentation does not guarantee the issuance of a visa.
- For minor children traveling alone or accompanied by one of the two parents, a travel authorization established by the holder of parental authority, and legalized with a Chinese municipality, must be attached to the application.

- VISA REQUIREMENTS
- Passports valid for over six months
- Copy of the first page of the passport.
- An application form, duly filled in, signed and dated.
- One recent identity color passport photograph.

IMPORTANT
The presentation of false information, a suspicious application file for entry visa to Algeria containing fake documents or subject to fraud will lead to the cancellation of the visa delivered and to the confiscation of the passport of the person concerned, which will be transmitted to the competent Chinese authorities. The entry visa to Algeria will be refused for the concerned within a certain period.
- Foreigners can obtain diplomatic, service, courtesy, press, tourist, business, study, work, temporary work, family, medical, cultural, transit visas.
- Visa application forms can be downloaded from the websites of the diplomatic and consular posts. They must be completed and accompanied by: a passport, valid for at least of six months, passport’s photocopy, two (02) recent identity photos, identical identity documents, a travel insurance and repatriation assistance certificate. They must be submitted to the Embassy or Consulate of the applicant's usual place of residence, accompanied by the additional documents indicated according to the type of visa requested.
- The applicant originating from a foreign country and residing in the host country will provide in support of his application, the residence card and its photocopy.
- Family visa
- A guarantee certification, issued by an Algerian Municipality in which family members reside, assuring that the duration of the planned stay in Algeria is no more than 3 months or a hotel reservation.
- The original of repatriation letter and guarantee letter, stamped by An Algerian Municipality, is required.
- For foreign spouses and children of Algerian Nationals, provide:
- A copy of the family record book or marriage certificate;
- A document proving the family link with the person or the family inventing and hosting the applicant,
- A copy of the spouse’s residence permit.
- A copy of the birth certificate (for children);
- A copy of the consular registration card of the spouse;
- If the inviter is an Algerian, then the copy of his ID is required. If the inviter is a Chinese, then the copy of his/her retention card and work visa are required. If the Chinese registers his/her own company in Algeria, then the copy of the business license, certificated by an Algerian Municipality, is required.
- Proof of resources: document justifying the profession of the applicant: work certificate or payslip. For students, a copy of the school certificate is required.
- Transport ticket (outward and return).
- Business visa
- The original invitation letter of the Algerian company certificated by an Algerian municipality and signed by its habilitated representative (standard format: printed with organization letterhead, marked with name and post of the person in charge, signed by the person in charge and stamped with a round seal). The content of the invitation letter shall include:
- the exact purpose of the visit in Algiers and the nature of the mission,
- the intended period of stay in Algeria,
- address, phone number or Fax, e-mail of the Algerian partner;
- the activity field of the Algerian partner,
- as well as name, functions, and passport numbers of the invited partners.
- A copy of the business license of the Algerian company.
- The original dispatch letter of the Chinese company (standard format: printed with organization letterhead, marked with the name and post of the person in charge, signed by the person in charge and stamped with a round seal). The content of the dispatch letter shall include:
- the exact purpose of the visit to Algeria;
- the intended period of stay in Algeria,
- as well as names, functions, and passport numbers of the invited persons.
- The repatriation letter of the Chinese company, which shall include names, functions and passport number of the invited persons and shall claim that that they will return to China before the expiration date of their visa. (Standard format: printed with organization letterhead, marked with the name and post of the person in charge, signed by the person in charge and stamped with a round seal).
- The repatriation letter certificated by an Algerian municipality, assuring that the invited persons will return to China before the expiration date of their visa.
- Copy of the business license of the Chinese Company (stamped with a round seal) and its English or French translation version is required;
- Applicants with passports of other countries (except China) are required to provide a copy of residence in China.
- For installing and debugging equipments (after-sale service), copies of the sales and purchase contract and Bill of lading are required. Applicants who go to Algeria for entering a bid need provide the copy of tenders.
- Tourist visa
- A certificate of accommodation (less than three (03) months old) authenticated by the President of the Communal People’s Assembly of the place of residence of the inviting person and a copy of the latter’s identity document.
- Or a confirmation of hotel reservation.
- Or a letter of travel reservation from an Algerian Travel Agency with a transport ticket confirmation (outward and return).
- A travel insurance certificate (repatriation, hospitalization and medical expenses) to be requested from a specialized organization (insurance company, travel agency or bank). This certificate must be valid for the entire duration of the stay.
- For minor children: present family record book or the certificate of birth.
- Proof of resources for the duration of the stay. Document justifying the profession of the applicant (work certificate or payslip). For students, a copy of the school certificate is required.
- Work visa
- The original Provisional Work Permit signed and issued by the Algerian Ministry of Labor.
- The repatriation letter, certificated by the Algerian Ministry of Labor, and its copy. The letter shall cover the bond and assure that workers will return to China when the labor contract is expired.
- The labor contract and its copy.
- The original guaranty letter of the Chinese company.
- The original dispatch letter of the Chinese company; The content of the dispatch letter shall include name, functions, and passport number of workers.
- Applicants with passports of other countries (except China) are required to provide a copy of residence in China.
- Temporary work visa (for a maximum stay of 03 months)
- The original Provisional Work Permit (established for less than three months), signed and issued by the Algerian Ministry of Labor.
- The repatriation letter, certificated by the Algerian Ministry of Labor. The letter shall cover the bond and assure that workers will return to China when the labor contract is expired.
- The labor contract and its copy.
- The original dispatch letter of the Chinese company. The content of the dispatch letter shall include names, functions, and passport numbers of workers.
- The original guaranty letter of the Chinese company.
- Applicants with passports of other countries (except China) are required to provide a copy of residence in China.
- Cultural visa
- The cultural visa is issued to the applicant holding an invitation to a seminar or to a cultural, scientific or sport event and showing an evidence of financial means for the duration of the stay. The applicant should provide an Invitation letter from his the event organizer in Algeria.
- A letter of employment issues by the employer.
- Health insurance covering all medical expenses for the duration of the stay and repatriation costs associated with an accident or sudden illness.
- Study visa
- Enrolment letter from a school, institute or university accredited by the Algerian authorities.
- Proof of financial support, a scholarship certificate from Algerian or authorities or from the country of the applicant.
- Transit visa
- A transit visa is issued for a maximum of seven days.
- Health insurance covering all medical expenses for the duration of the stay and repatriation costs associated with an accident or sudden illness.
- Copy of the valid visa or passport of the country of final destination.
- Copy of the travel ticket to the final destination country.
- Evidence of financial means for the duration of stay.
- Hotel reservation if the applicant intends to stay in the Algerian territory for a period over than 24 hours.
- A regularization visa could be issued on arrival, exceptionally and in case of emergency, by the authorized authorities.
- The visa applicant pays the chancery fees, the amount of which varies according to the country. In application of the principle of reciprocity, the nationals of certain countries are exempt from paying chancery fees.
- Extension of the visa on the spot: the visa can be extended in Algeria under certain conditions.
16- Duration of visa:
- Duration of visa validity: 90 days, 180 days, one (01) year and two (2) years.
- Duration of stay: the maximum duration of stay authorized at each entry into Algeria is 90 days, which may, exceptionally, be extended not to exceed 90 days. The actual cumulative stay may not exceed 180 days per year.
- Duration of stay of the transit visa is 07 days.
17- Number of entries: single entry or multiple entries depending on the type of visa and depending on the case.
