65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Algeria and China
HEM. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, and HEM. Wang Yi, State Counselor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, exchanged congratulations letters as Algeria and China celebrate on December 20th, 2023, the 65th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.
The two sides appreciated the distinguished level reached by the relations of cooperation, solidarity and partnership between the two friendly countries in various fields, especially in light of the state visit conducted by HEM. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Republic, in July 2023, to the People’s Republic of China, which allowed the opening of promising horizons for cooperation with the aim of deepening Comprehensive strategic partnership between Algeria and China.
On this important occasion in the history of the two countries, the two foreign ministers expressed their determination to move forward in order to intensify coordination and consultation between the two parties on regional and international issues of common concern, especially since Algeria is preparing, at the beginning of 2024, to assume its non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.
