Closing of the Algerian Parliament Seminar in China
The Algerian Parliament Seminar, organized by the Chinese International Center, in cooperation with the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, concluded today, Monday, August 5, 2024, in the cities of Beijing and Xian, from July 23 to August 5, 2024.
The closing ceremony was attended by the Algerian Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, Mr. Kaid Slimane Lahcen, and the Minister Counselor at the Embassy, Mr. Ahmed Nekrouf. The Algerian Ambassador to China delivered a speech in which he referred to the great dynamism witnessed by Algerian-Chinese cooperation in all fields, especially economic ones, and expressed Algeria's pride in the historical positions it has shared with the People's Republic of China, such as Algeria's support for the request to restore its position as a member of the United Nations in 1971.
For his part, Mr. Mohamed Reda Oussahla, Vice President of the Council of the Nation in charge of Foreign Relations, delivered a speech in which he conveyed the greetings of the President of the Council of the Nation, Mr. Saleh Goudjil, and his gratitude for this promising initiative that opens new horizons for bilateral cooperation between Algeria China.. He also praised the historical bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and the level of qualitative rapprochement between them within the framework of a distinguished strategic cooperation that has gained momentum since the official visit of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to China.
Mr. Oussahla praised the idea of the forum, which is one of the fruits of the Algerian-Chinese friendship, and the high level of lectures given by experienced Chinese diplomatic experts on many topics related to international relations, China's history, stages and factors of its economic development, as well as its exemplary development policies, especially in the field of poverty eradication.. He also noted the cultural program that allowed the delegation members to learn about the customs and traditions of the friendly Chinese people, and some of the historical landmarks that made the ancient Chinese civilization.
The Vice President of the Chinese International Center, in turn, expressed the Chinese people's pride in the deep relations between China and Algeria, and the appreciation of the organizing bodies for the quality of interaction demonstrated by the members of the Algerian delegation throughout the symposium, through the exchange of ideas and information, the presentation of proposals, and the review of Algeria's experiences in governance, digitization and economic development.
