As part of the 4th session of the Intra-african Trade Fair (IATF 2025), scheduled in Algiers from september 4 to 10, 2025, find below the procedures for applying and processing visa applications to Algeria.
Consular Visa
Application Requirements
• Completed and signed visa application form;
• Passport with at least 6 months of validity;
• Photocopy of the passport pages containing personal information;
• Document certifying validation of registration on the IATF 2025 platform;
• 2 recent passport-sized photos;
• Payment of visa fees;
• Hotel reservation**;
• Round-trip flight reservation**.
**Failing this, applicants can submit their applications and must provide these two documents upon visa collection.
Visa Processing and Validity
Holders of diplomatic and service passports, as well as passes issued by regional and international organizations, are subject to the usual procedures for applying for an entry visa. Exemption depends on the existence of a visa exemption agreement for holders of these types of travel documents.
Visa on arrival:
for exceptional cases duly justified, visas on arrival will be issued.
Conditions of Issuance
All foreigners arriving in the country are required to present themselves to the competent authorities responsible for border control at border posts, with a valid travel document and a consular visa.
However, in emergency cases, the Border Patrol may exceptionally issue a regularization visa to foreigners who present themselves at border posts without a visa.
This measure applies to foreign nationals whose country of residence does not have diplomatic or consular representation.
Application Requirements
• Regularization visa application form;
• Valid passport (more than 6 months old);
• Copy of passport pages containing personal information;
• Documents proving entry to Algerian territory (document confirming registration on the IATF 2025 platform);
• Payment of the visa fees set out in Article 48 of the 2025 Finance Act;
• Proof of accommodation within the country (hotel reservation);
• Return ticket.
